Bajra - Paral Millet:

Bajra( Pearl millet, kambu, sajje, bajra) is rich in magnesium, which helps keep the heart healthy. It has potassium, which dilates blood vessels, allowing blood to flow more easily. This helps reduce overall blood pressure. Bajra also has fibre that helps reduce LDL, or bad, cholesterol. hey provide protein, fatty acids, minerals, vitamins, dietary fiber, and polyphenols. Typical millet protein contains a high quantity of essential amino acids especially sulfur-containing amino acids (methionine and cysteine). Bajra is considered the best plant-based protein source.

Finger Millet:

Finger Millet, also known as Ragi/mandua/kodra/mandia is an important millet grown extensively in various regions of India and Africa. is considered one of the most nutritious cereals. It is safe for gluten allergy and celiac disease. It is non-acid forming, and hence easy to digest. it is not advised to patients having kidney stones. An excellent source of natural calcium which helps in strengthening bones for growing children and aging people

Nutritional facts:

5–8% protein, 1–2% ether extractives, 65–75% carbohydrates, 15–20% dietary fiber and 2.5–3.5% minerals. Of all the cereals and millets, rich in amino acids (Tryptophan, Threonine, Valine, Isoleucine and Methionoine). Finger millet has the highest amount of calcium (344mg%) and potassium (408mg%). The cereal has low fat content (1.3%) and contains mainly unsaturated fat. 100 grams of Finger millet has 336 KCal of energy.

Proso Millet

Proso millet (Panivaragu, broomcorn ) is rich in minerals, dietary fiber, polyphenols, vitamins and proteins. It is gluten-free and therefore, ideal for the gluten intolerant people. Proso millet contains high lecithin which supports the neural health system. It is rich in vitamins (niacin, B-complex vitamins, folic acid), minerals (P, Ca, Zn, Fe) and essential amino acids (methionine and cysteine). It has a low glycemic index and reduces the risk of type-2 diabetes.

Little millet (samai, sama, Kutki) also called as 'King of cereals' The grain is round and smooth.
